I didn’t really know what a ‘Burns’ night actually was. All I knew was that i had to wear something tartan, and it was a dinner for the seniors at a high school about 50 mins down the road. But it was so much more…
Yesterday, I was coaching the first XI hockey boys in their first match of the season. Problem was, the school we were playing was at Arberlour, about four hours north of Crieff. So a huge bus journey for one match.
Just a quick note on how to navigate around all of my posts! In the top left hand corner, there is a ‘categories’ window. All of my posts will be arranged according to this. e.g. to see all of my nights out in scotland, click ‘Social (in scotland). Or, on the right hand side, there is […]
Today was my day off, along with Kat. Being in a foreign country, I was eager to get up early and start exploring. So, I got up at 11:00 (ha ha, did you actually think I would forego a sleep-in? – or a ‘lie in’ as they call it here). Kat and I decided to […]

After work yesterday, the gappies and Sara took me out for a celebratory drink. Unfortunately, the barman didn’t ask for i.d. 🙁 We went to the crieff hotel and had a few drinks, before heading back to John’s house (the guy I play volleyball with on a thursday night, and looks like Hugh Grant) for a […]
Thought it might be good to post a picture of the other gappies who are here with me: There’s kat, (on the far side) from canberra, chloe from armidale and joe from the hunter valley. They’re a great bunch of guys and we all get along really well. We chill out a lot in our special ‘gappies […]
