We stayed at a boarding house in Oundle for two of the nights of our tour, and I was given both of these nights off. So I met the Oundle gappies and we had a great time. The first night we went out to a pub. Some senior students snuck out from their boarding house, and we had a great time out with them. Shh! Don’t tell anyone. And definitely don’t write about it on the internet… oh wait.
The first night we went out to a pub. There weren’t any students there. Then we went home early and watched Pochahontas on DVD.
The next night, I went out with the four Oundle gappies again. We went to a pub with a bunch of the Oundle PE/coaching staff. They don’t actually teach, they just coach sport. So I was sitting next to a member of the South African hockey team to compete in the London Olympics in September. Good luck Paul! We were having a going away party for one of the staff members, so we had another pretty good night. This was Paul’s first beer in over 12 months.
The next day we caught a train back home.
