This weekend was our exeat. It’s a long weekend where the boarders go home, meaning that us gappies are free for the weekend to go exploring. The four of us tripped to Edinburgh by train, and arrived at Waverly station at about 3pm on the friday. We walked to Princes st. (which is the main hub of edinburgh) and checked in at the hilton hotel. Just kidding. We dumped our bags in a dingy youth hostel:
Then we wandered around Edinburgh.
We had a look at all of the old buildings (which was every single building), went up to Edinburgh castle and walked along the royal mile. The royal mile is a street which holds a number of historical landmarks – don’t ask me what they all are though, I kind of lost interest. ha ha. Everything in Edinburgh is either old or historical.
That night we went on a pub crawl (see the next post for pics from that night).
