We visited the Monmatre district, made famous by the Moulin Rouge. Oh yeah, it also happens to have this massive white church – The Sacré-Coeur Basilica. It’s on the peak of a large hill, providing a decent view of central Paris.
The Sacré-Coeur Basilica.
Then a quick stroll through the dodgy red-light district to the Moulin Rouge. It was an um, ‘interesting’ walk.

yes I know quite a bit about your ‘massive white church’. Did you know that it is the highest point in the city, even surpassing the eiffel tower (okay its the highest point relative to sea level) and it was originally built in dedication to the sacred heart of Jesus (after the French revolution…I think). Can’t wait to see you again!!!
