While we were in Oundle for the rugby tournament, we had a tour of the school.

It’s amazing. It’s over 450 years old (so Captain Cook’s grandfather probably could’ve gone there)! The school is massive, and in the middle of the town. Every school building is old and glorious.

Because the school is so old, it’s full of tradition. Below is a picture of the house (on the school grounds), that the head boy (school captain) lives in if he so wishes. The head boy may also keep a goat, grow a goatee and carry a sword!

The weird thing is, there are boarding houses and other buildings that belong to the school, but aren’t actually in the school. Most of the boarding houses and dining halls are along the main street of the town, not in the actual school grounds! So the kids have to walk through the twon, along the main street to go back to their boarding house, to have meals, and some subjects! (See if you can spot the school boarding house and dining hall)

The next day was the rugby!
