Yesterday, I went with the first and second eleven to Edinburgh for a hockey match. It was about a two hour bus journey, but well worth it! When we pulled into the school (Fettes), I thought we’d arrived at the wrong place!
The school was amzing! It looks as if it was a palace, and then the royal family died so they made it a school instead! And it’s located within minutes of the central hub in Edinburgh.
Oh, the boys won quite easily. They are an awesome hockey team. The last 20 minutes was like poetry in motion. They never try to take on a player with skill – ever. They get and give. Pass, pass, pass, score. They play it the way it’s supposed to be played. It really is great fun coaching these boys. Another thing that makes being with these boys is the fact that they play with great sportsmanship. In all the matches they’ve played so far, i’ve only ever seen any of the kids appeal for a free hit once. And they never argue with the umpire. They are a really great bunch of kids.
This is me umpiring on the field… that’s the school in the background!

Hello dorkus!
Have you been getting my emails?!
Let me know, something tells me i have your email saved wrong….!
well over here not much is happening, had two uni exams last week (still settling in, the whole thing is quite confronting!)
charlotte goninan in yr 11 (used to be yr 10) turned sweet sixteen today so i just got back from surprising her at her house cuz i havent seen her in forever it was great seeing her!
and im back at dancing, i had no idea that seven months break could so drastically impact on fitness (whatever fitness i had seven months ago) and flexibility! so ive been walking around like ive just gotten off a horse with the pain of it all, and i cant laugh to hard or else my tummy feels like its going to implode lol
speaking of pain joe burnt his back when he fell off a wall and he drilled through his finger at his carpentry job with a highspeed drill…. :S ouch!
so im guessing from your blogs that your currently skiing! joe and i tried to figure out a holiday for the bondies for next year in our first holidays cuz we dont coinside with the other unis but apparently he owns a lodge type thing down in the snow in perisher actually on the fields so although i don’t/cant ski i thought it would be fun if we all flew down (flights are really cheap, especially in april) and it would be a fun lil getaway for us all, and trust me at uni you need somethihg to look forward to!
i never really cared whether or not i was 18 til i went to bond ive missed out on so much! like i finish at 6pm on thurs nights which is the time everyone heads down to don’s tavern all dressed up and the other day i found myself walking to my car in the complete opposite direction to the traffic flow cuz everyone else was going down to the tavern… :S!
your so lucky your starting as an 18yr old!
well let me know how you are! call me sometime again if you can!
muchaschos love, and as for skiing – break a leg!!! pick up some tips so you can teach me if we head down to perisher lol (seriously but lets do it!)
